TOTS | Ballet and Tap (ages 3-4)

This fun class is designed to introduce TOTS to the art of dance. This is a creative movement class for toddlers and teaches the basics of dance through music, noises and games. They will learn basic ballet technique, tap skills and perform in our annual showcase at the end of the year.

Kinder Dance | Combo Class: Ballet Tap and Jazz

Designed to build upon the TOTS basic dance class. This class focuses on the basics of dance through music, movement and games. Students will learn a basic ballet, tap and jazz dance that will challenge both their mind and body.

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced | Combo Class: Ballet Tap and Jazz Ballet:

Classes cover the classical ballet technique and terminology through barre exercises, center floor work, strength and core training. Students will work on flexibility and core strength while focusing on the study of classical ballet. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex and intricate.

Tap: Designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Exercises focus on developing foot coordination and speed of movement. Classes begin with a foot and leg warm-up, followed by tap combinations and skill training across the floor. Each level of class will focus on challenging tap combinations and skills. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex and intricate.

Jazz: Classes focus on proper dance technique, style and developing complex rhythm with the body. The core components of this class are ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movements, funk and hip hop. The class starts with an intense warm-up to stretch and loosen up the body, followed by jazz combinations and technique training across the floor. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex and intricate.

Elite Ballet and Jazz

Ballet: This class covers previous ballet training with advanced barre exercises, center floor work, across-the-floor combinations, strength and core  training. Students will be further challenged through terminology, flexibility and core strength while focusing of the study of classical ballet. This class will focus on the most advanced level of turning, leaps, upper body strength and technique.

Jazz: This class will focus on building proper dance technique, style and complex rhythm with the body. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz to help develop a well-rounded dancer. The class starts with an intense warm-up and conditioning to stretch and strengthen the body, followed by advanced jazz combinations and technique training across the floor. This level focuses on the most advanced leaps, turns and rhythmic style.

Pointe | Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced

Beginner and advanced pointe class can be taken in flat or pointe shoes at the instructor’s discretion. All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training and must be taken in combination with their regular ballet class. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles while enforcing basic ballet training.

Lyrical | Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

Lyrical class is designed for students with previous training in ballet. Students will explore contemporary combinations with basic techniques and skills from ballet and jazz. This class emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex and intricate.

Hip Hop | Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping and locking. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex and intricate.

Acrobatics | Beginner, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, Elite

Our acro classes will guide your child towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, discipline and concentration. This series of classes will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching skills such as handstands, cartwheels, backbends, walkovers and balance. The more advanced classes will focus on front handsprings, back-handsprings, tucks, twisting skills, aerials and partner work. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly complex. Your child must have certain skills to progress on to the next level.
